This week at PJ Locksmiths, we are excited to announce a new line of services involving double glazed windows and doors. These new services come as a result of the completion of a prestigious Double Glazing Repair Course. Due to the completion of the course, I am now able to undertake a larger variety of window and door repair and maintenance services.

Replace sealed window units, adjust double glazed windows and doors, replace double glazed window locks and handles, repair tilt and turn windows, replace double glazed window and door seals and gaskets, replace double glazed door panels.

Lock change

Tonight i was called to a property in Grays where the customer wanted 3 euro cylinders changed . One on the front door and 2 on the patio doors. I removed and all 3 and the customer is happy

Metal door

On 2nd October 2016   /   Doors  

dsc_0110I was called to a factory in Tilbury to change the lock on the door,whilst I was the customer asked me to price the cost of fitting new handles as the inside handle was loose. After making some enquiries there are some heavy duty handle available. I told the customer about these and he did not hesitate to say yes I ordered them in and fitted them. The customer was very happy

Communal door

  1. I was asked to attend some flats where the tenants were complaining that the communal door could be pushed  open from the outside. I arrived to find the electric release on the frame was bent ant the main catch was cracked. I  removed the release fitted a new one which I carry on the van,I tested it with a few Tennants all was ok DSC_0099

Metal Door Security Door in Gidea park

IMG_20150626_152016IMG_20150626_152016Had a customer today in Gidea Park need a lock change and also required an extra lock fitted as the door was not secure with just the one.I had to cut the for end of the door to fit the new lock case fitted a Yale superior euro cylinder with anti bump,anti snap,anti drill anti pick with ten year guarantee.

Places some satin escutcheons over the cylinders then on to cut the hole to accept the bolt.after that the customer asked me to have look to see why the door was rubbing when closing.checked it find the foot plate needed screwing down.enjoyed this job as it was something to get my teeth in to and the customer was very happy with the work.
